Based on the analysis of information obtained through telemetry equipment and monitoring of the volcano, the Volcanological Observatory of Southern Andes (OVDAS) of the National Geology and Mining Service (SERNAGEOMIN) announces:
-For The current period, six hundred twenty eight (628) earthquakes, including six hundred twenty-seven (627) classified as long period events (LP), mainly related to fluid dynamics inside the volcano, with a local magnitude (ML) maximum equal to M1,7 were recorded. With reduced displacement(DR) of 3,2cm2 on average. The event LP highest energy occurred on June 13 at 10:47 HL (1:47 GMT) with an amplitude of 8,2?m / s and a dominant frequency of 1.9 Hz. In addition, one (1) earthquake VT type has occurred, related to rock fracturing with a local magnitude (ML) equal to M1,0. This earthquake took place on June 11 and was located 9.8 km east-southeast (ESE) of the active crater, at a depth of 5 km.
The volcanic tremor signal (TR), also associated with fluid dynamics inside the volcano was recorded continuously throughout this period, with reduced displacement values (DR) equal to an average of 2,1cm2 with dominant frequencies between 0.9 and 2.4 Hz. No records were noted in the infrasound station, associated with volcanic activity. On-web cameras installed near the volcano, by clear weather or low clouds, the pictures showed a surface degassing activity with a column with a height of less than 50 meters.
