Moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data showed: ash plumes drifted about 150 km to the north-east and south-west of the volcano on March 27 and 29-30; a thermal anomaly was noting over the volcano on March 29; in the other days the volcano was obscured by clouds.

An ash plume was reported yesterday morning. The volcano has intermittent strombolian to vulcanian explosions, sometimes strong enough to produce ash clouds visible on satellite imagery.
