Tungurahua, Equateur :
The volcano continues to present an activity considered low. Overall, the volcano remained clear, however yesterday afternoon were observed vapor emissions of up to 500 m above the crater, with little energy and moving westward. Rain showers in the evening yesterday, which are not generated lahars have been recorded.
TECHNICAL AND OBSERVATIONS APPENDIX:
There were 45 long-period events (LP) and five episodes of tremor of emission.
Rainfall occurs with greater intensity in the volcano area, they can re-mobilize deposits of ash and pyroclastic flows and generate lahars. For this reason, we recommend extreme caution when driving on roads and highways that cross the gorge through which these flows are down and the regions, in times past, were affected by this phenomenon.

Back in volcanic vigilance with effect from Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 00:00.
Due to the decrease in seismic activity recorded by the Volcano Observatory of Piton de la Fournaise (OVPF), the prefect has decided to go in phase vigilance specific device Orsec * Volcano Piton de la Fournaise starting Tuesday May 5 at 00:00. However, an eruption is possible within days or weeks.
Public access to the upper part of the Enclos of the Piton de la Fournaise from the path of Pas de Bellecombe and the helicopter landing in the volcano area are again permitted.
The OVPF recorded 14 volcano-tectonic earthquakes during the day of May 3 (between 0:00 GMT and 23:59 GMT):
– 13 superficial volcano-tectonic earthquakes (including one of magnitude equal to 1.5)
– 1 deep volcano-tectonic earthquakes and 48 collapses in the Dolomieu
Day by day breakdown of the summit and deep earthquakes between April 16 and May 3, 2015.
Note that chronologically , the deep earthquakes precede the summital.
For the first nine hours of the day May 3, we recorded 5 summital VT and one (1)VT deep.
The deformation measurements always show a stable state; namely a stop of inflation as the top than at the base of the volcano is observed.
We observed a significant increase in the flow of SO2 coupled with CO2 at the top during the day of May 3
Analysis of the situation:
The observations of the report shows that during the day of May 3, 2015 geophysical activity is weakened again. Conversely, signs of geochemical activity are increasing. This requires to be confirmed today.

All volcanoes in the Cascade Range of Oregon and Washington are at normal background levels of seismicity. These include Mount Baker, Glacier Peak, Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Adams in Washington State; and Mount Hood, Mount Jefferson, Three Sisters, Newberry, and Crater Lake in Oregon. Additionally, GPS data from most of the major volcanoes, and sparse real-time hydrologic and geochemical monitoring, show no anomalous activity.
Activity at Cascade volcanoes in Washington and Oregon remained at background levels this week.

Popocatepetl, Mexique :
May 4, 11:30 h (May 4, 16:30 GMT) In the last 24 hours the monitoring system at Popocatepetl volcano registered 59 exhalations of low intensity, accompanied mainly by steam and gas. Also were registered 8 explosions, yesterday at 17:47, 18:02, 18:20 and 21:39 h, today at 01:39, 05:00, 08:44 and 09:20 h ,with no visibility of some of them was due to cloudiness in the volcano area. It is noteworthy that during this period, no ash fall report has been received.
During the night glow was observed over the crater.
Early in the morning was observed an emission of steam and gas to the southeast side of the volcano .
CENAPRED emphasizes that people SHOULD NOT go near the volcano, especially near the crater, due to the danger caused by ballistic fragments..
