The eruptive activity continues in New Southeast Crater (NCSE) of Etna, which began on the night of 11 and 12 May 2015. After a sharp decrease in the intensity and extent of the activity of tremor volcanic in the afternoon of May 13, the same night, the activity is intensified again, with almost continuous strombolian explosions sometimes accompanied by volcanic ash emissions. In terms of intensity, this activity can be compared to eruptive episodes of the NCSE in late December 2013 and mid-June and mid-August 2014. Strombolian activity produces almost continuous noise that can be heard especially in areas of East and South of the volcano.
In the early afternoon of May 13, on the underside North East of NCSE cone opened a new eruptive fissure, 150-200 m long, on which was three active vents with low explosive activity, and have issued a new lava flow (see picture top left, taken at sunset on May 13 from Fiumefreddo di Sicilia). This flow during the 24 consecutive hours flowed north east towards Mount Rittmann then east toward Mount Simon. This flow is clearly visible in the thermal image .

Regarding the monitoring of the activity of Nevado del Ruiz volcano, SERVICIO Geologico COLOMBIANO through the OBSERVATORIO VULCANOLÓGICO Y SISMOLÓGICO OF MANIZALES, reports that:
During the last week, the Nevado del Ruiz volcano continued to show significant seismic activity related to fluid dynamics in volcanic conduits. This activity was characterized mainly by recording several episodes of volcanic tremor, associated with the movement of fluids, gases and ash emissions in the atmosphere.
In addition, we continued the recording of seismic activity associated with the fracturing of the rock in the volcanic structure. Earthquakes are located mainly in the northwest, northeast and in the vicinity of Arenas crater at depths between 1.5 and 7.6 km. The maximum magnitude recorded during the week was 1.6 ML (local magnitude), corresponding to an earthquake located in the northwest of Arenas crater, which took place on May 6 at 1:40 (local time) a depth of 6.48 km. Increased seismic activity, May 5, located in the northwest of the Arenas crater at depths between 4.5 and 7.5 km. Volcanic deformation continuous to show some changes.
In the atmosphere, the volcano continues to emit significant amounts of water vapor and gases, including sulfur dioxide (SO2). The gas and steam column reached a height of 1400 meters above the summit of the volcano, and is sometimes seen with gray tones due to the presence of volcanic ash. The direction of the dispersion of the column was in harmony with the wind regime, which remained mainly on the western side of the volcanic edifice. The monitoring of the volcano is a task for everyone, if you see ash fall or changes in the rivers originating from the volcano please report it to the observatory.

In the last 24 hours the seismic monitoring system of Popocatepetl volcano registered 35 exhalations and two low-intensity explosions. During yesterday afternoon cloudiness not allowed to observe the volcano however, early today was observed by some time lapses incandescence at the volcano.
During the morning the volcano was observed with continuous emission of steam and gas towards the southeast, with a height of about 800 m above the crater . From 10:00 am until the time of reporting can not be observed cloudiness volcano.
CENAPRED emphasizes that people SHOULD NOT go near the volcano, especially near the crater, due to the danger caused by ballistic fragments .
The level of volcanic alert of Popocatepetl is located in Amarillo Phase 2.
