Last night, the eruptive activity of Etna was concentrated in the Voragine crater with an eruption almost continuously and significantly more intense than in recent weeks (similar to the intensity of the activity in the same crater in February -March 2013 and January 2015, but constant). Occasionally, incandescent bombs are sent to tens of meters above the crater.
This morning, the tremor, which had a peak last night is completely back down.
Commentaire de Boris Behncke : “I always said, the Voragine is Etna’s laziest but potentially most violent summit crater. Well, tonight she’s proved that this statement is still valid..”
