The eruption of the Fuego volcano continues 24 hours after starting, always maintaining an incandescent source of 500 meters above the crater, forming a column of ash of 4,800 meters (15,748pies), moving toward the South west and West to the volcanic complex , over a distance of 20 km.
The activity generated by the explosion is accompanied by lava flows in the ravines of El Jute, Las Lajas, with lengths of 2000, as well as constant avalanches of blocks in the Canyon Taniluya.
These explosions generate moderate rumbling with sensitive shockwaves 5 kilometers from the crater.
Continuous ash falls are present on San Pedro Yepocapa, Sangre de Cristo, Morelia, Panimache, Santa Sofía and others in this area.
FG3 seismic station recorded the eruption, the graph of RSAM attached to it still maintains the probability of generating pyroclastic flow throughout the canyons around the volcano.
Therefore, the INSIVUMEH recommends:
Maintain vigilance and continue deemed necessary awaiting the development of the activity.
At the Directorate General of Civil Aviation,
Maintain caution with the flow of air traffic because there are ashes to a height of about 4,800msnm. (15,748pies) to West South West over a distance of 20 km, which may extend to a greater distance.
