Evolution of the eruption of the Fuego volcano
Morphology : composite stratovolcano.
Geographical location: 14°28’54 “N Latitude; 90° 52” 54 ‘W. Longitude
Currently, the fourth eruption of Fuego continues, it has been reported explosions accompanied by ash column from a height of 6,000 m (19.685 ft) to the west-northwest, on a distance of about 40 kilometers of the volcanic complex.
It was confirmed ash falls in the communities of Morelia, Hagia Sophia, La Rochelle, PanimAche I and II, Sangre de Cristo, La Soledad and Yepocapa, which are likely to extend to the northwest of the volcanic complex as indicated on the ash scattering map.
The lava flow persists in the Las Lajas Canyon with a length of 700 meters, with the possibility of new lava flows generated in the direction of Santa Teresa canyons and Trinidad. This eruption may increase in the coming hours and ash fall occur over a greater distance. Possible descent of pyroclastic flow persists so it is necessary to take precautions.

The fourth Fuego volcano eruption that began on 29 February , has ended after 48 hours.
There are still weak explosions generating ash columns with a height of 4500 meters above sea level and moving west northwest at a distance of approximately 10 kilometers. The rumblings or sensitive sounds have disappeared.
As a remnant of the activity still a lava flow about 3 kilometers long in the Barrana las Lajas, which is expected to decrease in the coming hours is observed.
As ash particles are still suspended, mainly in the north and northwest flank which is expected to dissipate in the coming hours.
