Telica Volcano :
The Telica volcano continues to show high microseismicity and low emissions of volcanic gases. Today (16/05) at 8:37, was registered an earthquake between Telica and Cerro Negro, with a magnitude of M 1.6 degrees.
Seismic amplitude in real time is to moderate values, close to 80 units.
Momotombo Volcano :
Saturday and Sunday, the Momotombo volcano presented periods of microseismicity a little high. At this point, it remains at a low level with low emission of volcanic gases.
Seismic amplitude in real time (RSAM) is at low values, less than 70 units.
Masaya Volcano :
At 11:17 p.m. yesterday and 3:21 am today (16/05) two earthquakes of magnitude M2,1 and M1,0 degrees were recorded.
The first occurred in the caldera of the Masaya Volcano and the second to the northwest of the caldera.
These earthquakes have characteristics which were induced by magma movement beneath the caldera of Masaya.
A volcanic tremor of low value is recorded and the seismic amplitude in real time remains around 300 units.
The lava lake continues its strong circulation, and volcanic gas emission is moderate.
San Cristobal Volcano :
At 11:48 p.m. on Saturday, an earthquake under the San Cristobal volcano, which by its small size could not be located, has been registered. This earthquake is related to magma movements occurring under the volcano.
The volcanic gas emission is low and seismic amplitude in real time is to low values, below 40 units.
