4/30/2016, 5:10 am. The Turrialba volcano maintains a high level of seismic activity characterized by a continuous tremor that started from 16.00 yesterday, April 29 and was accompanied by strong production of steam and gas. In the beginning of the day April 30, it was able to verify the ash outlet by one of the active crater emission points, as seen in the images of the RSN cameras located on the top of volcano.
04/30/2016, 8:06 a.m :. 8:06. The Turrialba volcano ash emission continues continuously and passively. This process began at about 4:00 p.m. yesterday around 3 pm today, the first reports of ash fall on Santa Cruz de Turrialba were received. It was recorded, to date, about 5 hours of emission of ashes. All this time the behavior of the tremor, observable through the instruments does not show, for now, changes indicating a change in activity. In the photos of the RSN cameras, two emission points are observed, one which lets through the ashes and the other mainly of water vapor and gases. This is normal because they may have cavities that are not necessarily related and different geological conditions.
04/30/2016, 4:50 p.m.: At 4:50 p.m. it was observed that an outflow of light ash persists on the Turrialba volcano, as shown in the images of RSN cameras located on top of the volcano. The volcanic tremor gradually began to lose amplitude to 10:00 and this decline has increased to about 2:00 p.m..
