Moderate activity of the volcano continues. Explosive eruption of Zhupanovsky volcano finished, but collapses of the southern sector of its active crater Priemysh continues. Ash cloud was noted on the height up to 5 km a.s.l. at night on August 06, 2015, for about 25 km, and later – for about 60 km to the south-west of the volcano. Probably ash cloud is a result of collapses of new parts of southern sector active crater Priemysh.
New collapses of the volcano and a lifting of ash clouds up to 16,400-19,700 ft (5-6 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft.
