The registration of the type of tremor signal, mainly associated with the fluid dynamics within the volcano presented a behavior with a slight upward trend; reduced displacement values [DR parameter indicating the size of the seismic signal at source] are close to 4.0 cm2 on average, reaching a maximum of 8.3 cm 2 DR, levels considered as moderate for this volcano. Were also recorded sixty-eight (68) type of long time event [LP, seismic signal associated with the fluid dynamics inside the volcano],of local magnitudes equal and below 1.6 [ML measurement size earthquakes
based on the characteristics of the amplitude of the seismic wave] and reduced displacement (CD) of 4.5 cm2, values considered as low.
IP cameras installed around the volcano showed a variation in the behavior of the gas column and ash, characterized by a reduction in the height, density and ash content, recording glow in the crater area [visible because of the high contrast in temperature] for the majority of the night. Pyroclastic materials [solids with high temperatures ejected from the volcano] on the crater rim and the top of slopes, generates less and less landslides, still mainly located in the upper part of the volcano, evidenced by the registration of seismic signals. Most of the particulate matter (mainly ash), was deposited on the edge NE of the volcano .
The alert level remains at ORANGE, which, according to the protocol means “probable eruption in the short term.”

In the evening of February 27 , a surveillance flight was made in order to confirm the news that no glow was visible on webcams at Holuhraun. It was too dark to take any photographs.
According to thermal measurements (FLIR, IES) there was still considerable heat on the rims of the crater but colder at its bottom. A gas detector showed max 0.5 ppm SO2 in flight and max 0.4 ppm when tested on ground, at the southwestern edge of the lava field.
In the northeastern part of the lava field there were still embers in old outbreaks; the maximum temperature detected was 560°C (compared to 1200°C before).
From Holuhraun lava field 4 March 2015. The photo is taken from the central part of crater Baugur, view to the North along the crater. The encrusted surface of the lava lake has collapsed; its remains are now a course, black rubble at the bottom of the crater. Small vents of blueish gas can be seen sporadically at the crater floor. The crater rim on the right hand side gave way and and allowed an outlet onto the lava field beyond; the channel is about 50 m wide and 40 m deep

Popocatepetl, Mexique :

In the last 24 hours the monitoring system of Popocatepetl volcano registered 118 low intensity exhalations accompanied by emission of steam and gas. During yesterday afternoon it was observed the volcano with a small continuous emission of steam and gas with winds toward the east-southeast , sporadically exhalations were presented with emissions of steam, gas and moderate amounts of ash in the northeast and southeast, and heights between 500 m and 2000 m above the crater. Likewise, there have been 65 minutes of low amplitude harmonic tremor.
From 21:13 hrs initiated an increase in the level of activity presenting a train of explotions of moderate intensity with emissions of steam, gas and moderate amounts of ash prevailing northeasterly winds and heights of about 3000 m above the crater. Also, incandescent fragments were observed between the northeastern and southeastern slopes of the volcano at a distance of approximately 800 m from the crater, was also observed an intense incandescence in the crater. The intense cloudiness in the area not allowed to observe continuously the volcano .Explosion train ended at 1:18 hrs with the occurrence of an explosion, so that the total duration of the train was four hours.
Additional to train explosions explosive events recorded 14 isolates, some with fragments emissions and emissions of steam, gas and moderate ash to a height of up to 2000 m above the crater and addresses of variables northeast wind between and southeast. From the morning until the time of this report is partially observed the volcano. Civil Protection of the Ministry of Interior reported ashfall in the town of Atlixco, Puebla
