Slopes of Sinabung volcano, Indonesia.
In recent days, the volcano has shown signs that it is becoming more active with the continuing collapse of the summit dome forming hot pyroclastic clouds that descend at 500-700ºC, increasingly frequent, incinerating everything in their passage, going further and further, until 100-150 collapses in a day.
In recent days these flows are descended up to 3 km, but there was one who came to over 4.5 km in a southeasterly direction showing that things change, especially for localities of Simacem and Bekerah , partially affected or remained very close to be engulfed by the cloud of fire.
The problem is that the summit of the volcano is a huge dome over 4 million cubic meters of lava doughy, which enlarged more and more, becoming more and more unstable, threatening to collapse and affect areas outside 5 km to 7 km, after an evacuated area of all its residents because of the danger presented by this volcano.
But if this were not enough, last night, another pyroclastic flow swept through the area and buried the small Catholic Church of Bakerah by a hot and gray flow.
